Josie (00:00): I'm Josie Rodriguez-Bouchier, and this is the Intersectional Fertility podcast, where ideas and identities intersect to deepen our understanding of fertility and ultimately our whole selves.

(00:24) Welcome to today's mini episode. I can't believe I'm about to say these words: Fertile registration is open. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited, this program has been years in the making and there were definitely times where I wondered if it would ever see the light of day and now it's here. Registration is open. You can go to my website, intersectionalfertility.com/fertile, and you can register now and join the program.

(00:59) So Fertile is a five week online program designed specifically for queer, trans, and non-binary folks with wombs to conceive using the Whole Self Fertility Method, which is a method I developed over the past 13 years of my clinical practice as an acupuncturist. If you want to know more about that method in particular, you can poke around on my website, you'll see it on the Fertile page.

(01:28) There's a button that says "dive deeper" so you can dive deeper into the Whole Self Fertility Method and learn more about it. There's a sliding scale available between $1,400 and $350 are the investment price points, and there's actually four price points within that scale. There's also scholarships available for BIPOC.

(01:53) So if that $350 is still prohibitive for you joining and you're BIPOC, definitely, please, I encourage you to apply for a scholarship. I want you in the program. And everyone will get access to all the material one week at a time. So we'll go through everything together. One week at a time, you'll have access to everything for a year.

(02:18) So no stressing about getting behind on the content or, you know, trying to keep pace with us. If it takes you longer, you know, for one week takes you longer than the rest of the program to get through, no worries. You just take your time, go through it at your own pace. And, you know, if you need longer than a year, for whatever reason, just get in touch with me.

(02:42) Many of the materials in the program, you'll be able to just download to your computer, and keep forever. There's gonna be live zoom calls every week. So I think we're going to do Sundays and Thursdays, and it'll be about one hour and you'll be able to connect with me and your classmates and get all your questions answered.

(03:06) And if you can't make it for some reason, no worries. I'll record it for you and send it to you. Healthcare practitioners are welcome to join us, and I just wanted to speak a little bit about why I created this program, which is a question that some folks have asked me and I really created it because I love queerness.

(03:29) I really do. I love being queer. I think it's the most sacred part of myself and others. I think queerness is so beautiful and you know, fertility is my, happens to be my specialty. So that's where I'm starting in terms of celebrating and supporting queer folks. I believe that we deserve to be not only seen and heard and valued, but celebrated for who we are.

(04:03) And I think we need more queer families in the world. Quite honestly, I really think queer families are the future and are what is gonna save our world and our planet. I think queerness is so just endless in its possibilities of creativity and innovation. And I just have so much respect and admiration and joy in my heart for queerness in general, and everyone who's queer.

(04:34) And I just love being a part of creating. You know, helping people create their queer families, queer families of their dreams. So that's why I'm here. This is why I'm in it. I just adore queer folks, and it's my favorite part of myself. It's my, you know, I really believe that it saved my life in so many ways.

(04:59) And you know, why stop at queer competent healthcare when we can have queer celebrating healthcare. That’s, I really love that. I love that idea. So let's do it. Let's make more queer families. Let's celebrate queerness and I can't wait to meet you and head over to my website: Intersectionalfertility.com/fertile. I can't wait to see you in the program.
